The role

A Coding Scrum Master at understandAI is a blend of a software engineer and an agile coach. Success is when the team is sustainably delivering software increments. The Coding Scrum Master's focus is on a single team, and this allows to contribute as a developer as well. Enabling the team to be successful remains the priority.

Your tasks
  • Lead to achieve your team's goal in close collaboration with your Product Owner 

  • Encourage experiments, allow failures and celebrate learnings

  • Together with your team, inspect and adapt your development approach

  • Identify, track and help remove impediments

  • As a software engineer, you contribute technically to the Sprint

  • Write clean, well tested and documented code and participate in code-reviews

  • University degree in Computer Science or related studies, as well as a proven track record as a software engineer

  • Experience with at least an agile framework like Scrum, Kanban, LeSS, Spotify

  • You understand and live the values and principles of agility and can implement them

  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, Java or a similar high-level language

  • You are a strong communicator with excellent facilitation skills

  • English and German language skills on a fluent level are mandatory

  • You are eager to learn, a reliable team player and hungry for new challenges
